March Favorites: Rehydrate + Refresh

March Favorites: Rehydrate + Refresh

Just like preparing the soil in our gardens for a new season of planting, we need to rehydrate, refresh, and reawaken ourselves after a long winter's nap.

Here are a few things I am currently doing to prepare myself for that spring reawakening.

Brighten your day.

Who doesn't love being greeting by a happy bouquet of flowers? To me, nothing says spring like a bunch of bright tulips. I keep a vase full of them on my kitchen table so we can enjoy them just about every minute of the day.

Hydration is key.

It's time to bring your dull, dry winter skin back to life.

First, prep your skin with your favorite body scrub - or make your own! In a jar mix 3 ounces pink Himalayan salt and 1 ounce jojoba oil, stir to combine, scrub yourself down, and rinse. Then slather yourself in your favorite moisturizer.

Don't forget your lips! To create your own lip scrub mix 2 tbsp brown sugar with one tbsp of jojoba oil, stir to combine and gently scrub. When you're finished, just rinse it off and apply your favorite lip balm. I love this one in naked, it has no taste or fragrance - just pure moisture that lasts.

Get grounded.

It's time to get outside for some fresh air and reconnect with nature. Keep that connection going indoors as well with this necklace and this bracelet. Both feature moss agate which can help ground and connect us to the earth.

Rest and replenish.

At the end of the day it's time to get quiet and destress. Prepare yourself for a restful sleep by creating a nightly routine that begins, either before or after dinner.

Start your evening wind down by dimming the lights, light a candle or two, and do whatever it is that you love to do to unwind - just be sure its something that keeps your body and mind calm and happy.

Lately, we have been burning this candle or this candle at night. Both scents are perfect for creating a relaxing and cozy vibe.

What are some things you like to do at the start of Spring? Let me know in the comments, I would love to hear!
